The entire Frederiksberg Municipal Council has entered into a budget agreement for 2027. All seven parties support »Frederiksberg – responsibility and ambitions«. The municipality states that the tax remains unchanged — also for residents and tenants in Vester Berg.
The agreement was made under tight financial conditions, but prioritises children, seniors, culture, leisure and green initiatives. TV 2 Kosmopol writes that a planned 2027 tax reduction is postponed until 2029 because of uncertainty about the equalisation reform. Tax is not increasing — but the reduction is not coming next year.
Priorities include DKK 30 million for schoolyard renovations, more funding for seniors (including a third activity centre at Ingeborggården and more cleaning for vulnerable home-care recipients), DKK 57 million for specialised social services, and making Sociolancen permanent.
On the green side, DKK 25 million is allocated for several hundred new trees, urban nature and biodiversity. Work on a cycle lane or path on Frederiksberg Allé continues, and a study will examine how Gammel Kongevej can be improved, including wider cycle paths and pavements. This matters for life on the northern edge of Vester Berg / Frederiksberg C.
The agreement must be finally adopted at the second reading in the municipal council on 5 October 2026.
